Hograils in NWA Welcomes the Arkansas

Session of Tulsa Line Lite

Northwest Arkansas was honored  to be a part of the Tulsa Line group on the three year rotation with our friends in Houston and Dallas/Ft. Worth.  This year we operated with 23-24 operators on all day Saturday beginning in the morning, with Doug Farner's Blue Ridge & Southern, Ed Abbott's Milwaukee Road and Bob Moore's Columbia Cascade.   The afternoon sessions were with next door neighbors Norm Bruce's Gulf, Colorado, and Santa Fe and John McBee's Pueblo Division.   John and Norm were gracious to also host a chili supper for that evening before sending everyone home.   Enjoy the photos below of the action!!
Mike Haas is working the Adler Paper mill in Canton & Tom Leming (Dallas) the yard in Ashville.   Both on the Blue Ridge & Southern.
Jerry Hoverson (McKinney) works on the Port Angeles Terminal Railway while John Garfield (Burleson) brings in a transfer from the Canadian Pacific.   Both on the Columbia Cascade.

Ole Milhouse (Fort Worth) ponders the switching at the Andrews Industrial area.  On the Blue Ridge & Southern.

Pearre Davenport (Justin) in the ever busy town of Silva.   On the Blue Ridge & Southern.
Tom Bailey (Houston) works the Southern local at Bryson City.  On the Blue Ridge & Southern.
Chris Atkins (Lewisville) on the left works the Larkspur yard for the UP, and currently has a pretty clean yard.   Chip Romig (Dallas) is back on the Canadian Pacific studying where everything goes.  Both on the Columbia Cascade.
Bill Wright (Houston) and Dave Shafer (Houston) get last minute instructions from Host Norm Bruce on the Gulf, Colorado & Santa Fe.

Chip Romig (Dallas) and Mike Haas (Dallas) share some good natured ribbing as they operate the ATSF.  Both on the Gulf, Colorado & Santa Fe.
Jim Muller (Garland) front center puts his time in on a transfer on the BN holding at Coldwater, while Bill Wright (Houston) back left is moving a transfer from the Pater.   Bob Barnett ( Houston) works the UP town of McKinley.  All on the Columbia Cascade.
Host John McBee gives additional instruction at the interchange yard where the narrow gauge will arrive.   All on "the Pueblo Division".
??? and Elbert Smith together work Walsenburg.   All on "the Pueblo Division".
John and Madia Bennett work in the Dispatcher chair while Bob Barnett looks on waiting to get permission from the dispatcher to move his train on.   Local Ed Abbott, takes a break.  All on "the Pueblo Division".

A real busy corner of the Pueblo Division is the two Pueblo yards back to back, D&RGW/C&S and the ATSF yards.   On the left is Kelly Russell, local Phil Story, and Bart Bartholomew.   With backs to us is Chris Atkins and ??? working the D&RGW yard.   All on "the Pueblo Division"
