Hutchinson is a farming community approximately 50 miles west of Minneapolis. It was served by a GN branch line using an EMD NW5 and a special extended caboose that had a freight door and a few passenger seats. Hutchinson was the end of the line and the engine and caboose were turned around with a “Y” for the return trip to Minneapolis. |
